Change Your Negative Business Mindset in 4 Ways Fast!

Many of us can get stuck or get in a negative mental rut about our business.  Maybe things are stressful at home, or business is down or things just aren’t flowing the way you’d like them to. So, it becomes easy to get in a rut and then sometimes stay there.

However, if we don’t watch it, we can stay there a long time, all the while making things worse for ourselves when all we need is just a quick little shift that will make all the difference in the world.  So here are a few tips that will help you get out of that rut or funk FAST!

1. STOP the Negative Chit Chat in Your Head:  In other words, start to change your thinking and thoughts. Gosh our thinking sure does play a huge part in the quality of our businesses and in our lives.  Going around complaining or quietly enduring negative self talk can make you want to just walk away from it all and give up. So, take a moment, pause, take some deep breaths and reset your thinking. It may take time and you may have to do this little by little, but it works.  Start talking positively about your business. Start to be grateful for all that you have and all that you can do. This can be the jump start you need.

2. Raise Your Energy.  What?  Raise my energy? What does that mean? Raising your energy can literally be the fastest way to turn that negative business mindset into a positive one. By raising your energy, I mean changing your body’s energy. This can be accomplished by jumping up and down, put on music and dance, or even jumping on a small trampoline. This gets the blood flowing and puts your mental attitude in a brand new state of being. Try it, it’s fun. For example, did you ever workout and before your workout you felt down or in a funk, but after you worked out you felt better?  Well, it’s the same thing with your business mindset.

3. Join a MasterMind Group: Joining a group of positive minded people can do wonders for your mindset when it comes to your business. Not only will you get great ideas, make new connections and even potential friends/business, you will also put yourself in a better state about your business. Joining a mastermind group can also really help jump start more success.

4. Clear the Clutter and Get Organized: I find that sometimes when we have a cluttered desk or workspace our minds gets cluttered too. I often tell my husband, “A cluttered desk means a cluttered mind.” Oh how he just loves when I say that. But he believes it’s true and now will take time to clear off his desk.  I believe that when our business or work areas get clogged up with mess, chaos and stress, our minds do too. So, sometimes we just need to take some time to step back and get organized.  It always feels like a fresh start to me and might for you as well.

There is no one way to do it, there are many ways to stop negative thinking and change your business mindset. What is most important to remember is consistency. It’s so important to consistently make sure that you are managing your business mindset and doing what you need to do in order to stay positive and making progress.  As Tony Robbins says, “Progress = Happiness.”  I tend to be happy when I am making progress and I hope you do as well.
